Alewife Study Group (ASG)
- In 1995, seven neighbors founded Alewife Study Group to enhance the quality of life, and protect the public health of North Cambridge near WR Grace. By the end of 1998, nearly 1000 North Cambridge neighbors had attended a meeting, signed a petition, volunteered and joined the ASG as a member of the Core Group, the Working Group or the Calling Group.
- We work to ensure an inclusive, participatory process on quality of life issues to mitigate the risks of hazardous waste such as asbestos, flooding, and the protection of habitats and natural resources.
- We research and communicate our findings.
- ASG has 25 years of research, experience, credibility and collaboration with neighbors, the City, WR Grace/GCP, Haley and Aldrich, & DEP.
