To Whom it May Concern:

This letter is to inform you of the placement of the above referenced report, dated 11 November 2002, in five public repositories in accordance with the Public Involvement Plan (PIP) prepared for this site (RTN 3 0277) and in accordance with the City of Cambridge Asbestos Protection
Ordinance (APO).

This RAM Plan/ASMP was prepared in accordance with 3 10 CMR 40.0444 and in accordance with the Cambridge APO. This notice is intended to satisfy the public notification requirements of both the PIP and the Cambridge APO.

In accordance with the PIP prepared for this site comments were accepted on the Public Comment Draft and APO Review Draft RAM Plan/ASMP for 20 days, starting 21 October 2002 and ending at the end of day on 9 November 2002. In accordance with the PIP for this site, the public comment period is now closed. Comments were verbally provided by the City and the DEP. Comments by other parties were not provided.

This letter is also to inform you of the placement of the Commissioner's Final Decision on the Utility Trench Excavation ASMP, dated 11 November 2002, in five public repositories in accordance with the PIP prepared for this site and in accordance with the Cambridge Asbestos APO. In accordance with the APO, please send any comments on the Final Decision to the attention of the following:

With the issuance of the Commissioner's Final Decision, this letter is also to inform you of W.R. Grace's intention to begin RAM activities associated with the excavation of this utility trench at the W.R. Grace site. At this time, soil disturbing activities are scheduled to begin on or after 14 November 2002. Activities will be conducted in accordance with the Commissioner's Final Decision and the Utility Trench Excavation Release Abatement Measure (RAM) Plan/Asbestos Soil Management Plan (11 November 2002).

A copy of this letter has been placed in each of the five repositories.
