JOIN US! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
Whether you are a seasoned volunteer, or someone trying to figure out where to get involved in the watershed, this night is for everyone. Come and help us thank all of you who have volunteered so much of your time and energy, and introduce those of you who are thinking about getting involved to a few of the opportunities. We will have brief presentations to let you know about some of the ways to help the river, plus lots of information to take with you, and some time to talk to other volunteers.
In addition, Professor John Durant, a professor at Tufts, and the chair of our Water Quality Committee, has agreed to share a part of his slide presentation with us. In this presentation, John will provide an historic perspective on changes in the landscape that have affected water quality. His slides depict some of the tanneries that used to border the rivers, and the wetlands that once were so prevalent. It is a fascinating talk, and should not be missed. If time permits, we will also have a couple of brief videos about activities in the watershed. So, join us for an evening of information and fun, and help us celebrate all that you have done to help the river.
Snacks will be provided.
Save the date! Please call or email me for directions.
