SUMMARY:Jefferson Park Demolition & Rebuild - CHA
DESCRIPTION:Jefferson Park is about to be demolished and rebuilt!  Families will be displaced (in the middle of a pandemic) for a lengthy period and many are concerned about the project\, the process\, and the redesign.  For example\, CHA is planning to add 120 new units to an already densely populated area. \nThe Cambridge Housing Authority recently hosted a community meeting which can be viewed here.   CHA’s presentation and plans can be viewed here.  See here for how the proposed site will look. \nAt the last meeting\, neighbors gave feedback on the lack of resident engagement in the planning\, the proposed site plan\, and COVID-19 safety precautions during the displacement of residents. \nCHA’s next neighborhood meeting is on Thursday\, April 1\, 2021 at 6:00pm.  No more details at this stage.
