The AUL, or Activity and Use Limitation, is a legal document governing which activities and which uses are allowed and disallowed. The AUL is attached to the property deed.
For a list of permitted activities and uses and prohibited activities and uses, see pages 2-3.
A Brief History: In about 2004 – 2005, W. R. Grace contacted the Alewife Study Group (ASG) and proposed that together Grace and ASG negotiate the terms of an AUL for the protection of all. ASG and Grace negotiated for about 18 months before finalizing this AUL.
